About Me:
Visual Artist / Illustrator
Education: Ringling College of Art and Design, 2022 - 2026; Bachelor’s in Illustration
I’m Kal-El Price Kuykendall, an illustrator and visual storyteller with a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. I create compelling artwork across a wide range of mediums, including editorial illustration, book and album covers, posters, concept art, character design, promotional artwork, branding, and sequential art. My work blends strong traditional draftsmanship with modern digital techniques to create bold, expressive visuals that communicate ideas and leave a lasting impression.
Every piece begins with pencil and paper before evolving through a digital workflow focused on composition, color, lighting, and storytelling. Whether I'm designing a striking cover, developing original characters, creating promotional illustrations, or producing sequential narratives, I approach every project with the same goal: to create artwork that captures attention, evokes emotion, and tells a memorable story.
Inspired by illustration, animation, film, comics, and contemporary visual culture, I enjoy adapting my style to meet the needs of each project while maintaining a strong sense of personality and craftsmanship. I thrive on creative collaboration and am always looking for opportunities to contribute meaningful, high-quality artwork for publishing, entertainment, advertising, gaming, and other creative industries.
