About Kal-El Kuykendall:
Ringling College of Art and Design, Class of 2026: Bachelor’s in Illustration
Illustrator | Digital & Traditional | Storyboards, Comic Books, Children's Books & More
Currently a Junior at Ringling College of Art and Design, I’m majoring in Illustration with a strong focus on blending digital and traditional media to create bold, expressive visuals. My work is rooted in storytelling and stylized design—from comic panels and children's book illustrations to editorial layouts and visual storytelling.
Photoshop is my go-to tool, and I’ve developed a unique coloring and blending technique that sets my style apart. But everything starts with pencil and paper—my process always begins traditionally, sketching by hand before refining digitally. That extra step brings an organic, personal touch to every piece.
I’m fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other creative platforms, but what really defines my work is my eye for color and detail. Whether it’s a playful poster or an emotionally driven storyboard, I approach every project with the same goal: to make something vibrant, meaningful, and different.
I'm currently open to freelance work, internships, and full-time opportunities where I can bring creative ideas to life and collaborate with teams who value originality. If you’re curious about what I can bring to your project, check out my portfolio—and let’s make something awesome together.
